Creations Unlimited Commercial Building Project Dining Room

In 1999, we were given an opportunity to assist with a creative design solution for a Houston area hotel and country club.  The club's Tuscany inspired formal dining area included large hand-hewn oak beams complimented by a barrel vaulted, "Old Chicago" style brick ceiling.

The motif for this dining area was exquisite!  However, the wood and brick elements that the design team desired were costly; the existing support structure could not sustain these elements.  Our lightweight polyurethane products designed to replicate wood and brick were the perfect solution to our customer’s obstacles; we satisfied our client’s request that from 8 feet away one could not distinguish the difference between the authentic elements and our polyurethane products.  In addition, we achieved the designer’s Tuscany ambiance while avoiding substantial structural modifications. (Our 7”x14”x16’ hewn oak logs only weighed 90 pounds each, while an authentic wooden log would have weighed in excess of 550 pounds!)

Our customer welcomed our keen eye for detail and creative flare.  We even incorporated recessed lighting as a part of the ambiance, which was feasible due to the small space at the top of our polyurethane logs.

To top it off, the installation duration for the entire project was only 6 days!
